Privacy Policy​

Integral Geometry Science Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) handles the personal information (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Information”) of individuals including users and viewers (also including applicants for employment with the Company and individuals of our business partners, etc.; hereinafter referred to as “Individual(s)”) of the services operated by the Company (including websites and applications; hereinafter referred to as “Services”) safely and appropriately in accordance with the following Personal Information Protection Policy.​

1. Personal information​

Personal information means personal information as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003, hereinafter referred to as “Act”), namely, information about a living individual which can identify the specific individual by name, date of birth or other description contained in such information or information that contains a personal identification code.​

2. Personal information acquired​

This Personal Information Protection Policy applies to Personal Information that the company has acquired by the following methods.​

  • Information provided directly by Individuals​
    Individuals may provide information directly when using Services, submitting an inquiry, or applying for a job, etc.​

    (Examples of information provided)​
    ・ Name, address, place of employment, e-mail address, etc.​
    ・ Information entered or sent by Individuals through the input form or other method established by the Company​
  • The Company may also obtain the personal information of Individuals from third parties in the course of running the Company’s business, including the operation of Services. If Individuals or the organizations they belong to permit collaboration with an external service, the Company will obtain the following information from that external service based on the details agreed to when that permission was given.​

    ・ IDs used by Individuals in the external service (including identifiers converted from those IDs)​
    ・ Icons used by Individuals in the external service​
    ・ Account names, etc.​
    ・ Other information that Individuals have authorized to be disclosed to collaborating parties through the privacy settings of the external service​

3. Safety management measures​

The Company has established regulations on the handling of personal information so that unauthorized access to or loss, leakage, etc., of personal information that it has acquired do not occur, and implements safety measures against such risks positively.​

4. Purposes of use of personal information​

The personal information acquired by the Company is managed strictly by the Company and used within the scope of the purposes specified in advance at the time of acquisition or the following purposes of use, except in cases where the consent of Individuals has been obtained or cases established by law.​

  • Provision of Services (including personal identification for Services, user authentication, recording of user settings, maintenance of Services, maintenance of security, etc.).​
  • Handling of various inquiries and requests​
  • Analysis and improvement of Services, planning, research, development, etc., of other products and services​
  • Information, provision and management concerning the Services and other products and services​
  • Information, operation and management concerning seminars, lectures, exhibitions, events, etc.​
  • Contact necessary in the course of business, performance of contracts, business negotiations, and management of the information of business partners​
  • Provision of information, contact and notification to applicants for employment, and screening for employment​
  • All work related to each of the purposes of the above items​

5. Provision of personal information to third parties​

The Company does not provide the personal information it has acquired to any third party without obtaining the consent of the Individual, except in cases established by law.​

6. Joint use of personal information​

The Company may use personal information it has acquired jointly as follows.​

  • Items of personal information used jointly: Personal information acquired by the Company​
  • Scope of parties using personal information jointly: The Company​
  • Purpose of joint use: The Company uses personal information within the scope required to achieve the purposes of use established in 4.​

7. Method for disclosure, etc., of Personal Information from the Individual​

Please contact us if you wish to request the disclosure, correction, suspension of use, etc., of your Personal Information, or if you wish to point something out with regard to the handling of your Personal Information. After confirming that the request is from the Individual concerned, the Company will implement disclosure or other appropriate handling without delay.​

8. Provision outside Japan​

The Company does not provide Personal Information it has acquired to third parties outside of Japan (including cases of joint use) without the consent of Individuals, except in the following cases.​

  • Cases in which the Company provides personal information to a third party located in a country that has a personal information protection system based on law and recognized as being at the same level as that of Japan​
  • Cases in which the third party has established the system required to take continuously measures equivalent to those required to be taken by business operators handling personal information based on the law (hereinafter referred to as “Equivalent Measures”) In such cases, the Company takes the measures required to ensure the continuous implementation of the Equivalent Measures by the third party.​

9. Governing law​

The handling and management of personal information acquired by the Company and the efficacy and interpretation of this Personal Information Protection Policy are governed by the law of Japan.​

10. Dispute resolution​

The Tokyo District Court is the court of exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance with regard to any disputes concerning the personal information acquired by the Company or this Personal Information Protection Policy.​

11. Revision​

The Company may change part or all of this Personal Information Protection Policy as required. If there are any significant changes, notice of the details will be posted on the Company’s website.​
